About Us

Dinah Koo is one of Toronto’s best known, much loved, and longest serving female chefs.
For more than 25 years she has proven to be a culinary trendsetter, appealing to some of the most
sophisticated palates in an industry that demands perfection and imagination.
In 1992 she opened Dinah’s Cupboard, the first store of its kind in Toronto, offering imported specialty foods from all corners of the world.
She continues that trend with her latest endeavour, a charming multi-cultural gourmet hot dog spot. As well she still caters fabulous parties.
Over the years, Dinah has unerringly sensed trends in the way we eat and, as a well-known “food maven”, she is often called upon for her expert opinion. As well as many guest appearances on television conducting cooking demonstrations and interviews, and performing personal demos at specialty schools and exhibitions, she has co-hosted the show
“We’re Talking Homemade”. Greatly favoured by the media, her accolades have amassed a large list of key professional contacts and created a ‘who’s who’ client list. She is recognized as one of Toronto’s most interesting ‘food personalities’ with a dedicated following.
Dinah lives and works in Toronto.
